    just try drawing Panchamukhi Hanuman faces according to the directions mentioned in the sloka. i coulndn't make it all. can you explain ?

    The directions of the faces of Panchamukhi Hanuman (as in Photo) do not match with the directions mentioned in the sloka. As per sloka Hanuman faces East, Garuda faces West, Varaha faces North, Narasimha faces South & Hayagreeva faces Upward. The photo does not match the sloka. We may also take it as the sloka does not match the photo. Which one is correct ?

    Please justify the usage of the word "Swaaha" at the end of each verse. The sloka appears to describe each of the five faces & directions of Panchamukhi Hanuman. Then why "Swaaha" ? Can it be "Namo Namaha". Swaaha is used while offering Havis or Neivaidhyam or during homa. Here this seems to be a simple sloka for recitation. There is no such offering made. It may even be mistaken as each face is offered as Swaaha.

    Sloka according to the direction of faces in the photo:-

    Om Namo Hanumathe Rudraavathaaraya Panchavadhanaaya.

    Poorva mukhe Maha Rudhraaya sakala shathru samharanaaya.

    Uttara mukhe Hayagreevaaya sakala gnaana vasheekaranaaya.

    Eeshanya mukhe Karaala vadhanaaya Narasimhaaya sakala bhootha pretha nidhanaaya.

    Aagneya mukhe Garudaaya sarva vigna nivaaranaaya.

    Dakshina mukhe Aadi Varaahaaya sakala sampath pradaaya.

    Shree Rama dhoothaya namo namaha.

    The other option is according to the sloka the photo must be changed as Hanuman's face in front facing East, Garuda's face exactly behind it facing West, Varaaha facing North (in profile), Narasimha facing South (in profile) & Hayagreeva facing Upward.

      HI. Yes we can place Panchamukha hanuman in prayes room but he MUST be in sitting position(Asanam). You can place him infront of house with Standing Pose.
